All About The Club at Mainline Adult Day Center

In Adult Day Care, Informative, Seniors care

Since 1988, Mainline Adult Day Center has been serving adults with cognitive and physical limitations, helping these adults succeed while taking stress off of their caregivers.

Our aim is to provide a supportive environment in which our members can maintain the highest possible degree of independence and well-being. To help accomplish that mission, we established the Early Stage Dementia Club or the Club for short.

Signs of Dementia

Dementia has several early warning signs. These include

  • Memory problems, especially with remember recent events
  • Reduced concentration
  • Misplacing items often
  • Apathy, withdrawal, or depression
  • Increased confusion
  • Behavior changes
  • Language problems
  • Decreased abstract thinking and spatial skills

If you notice that you or your loved one has any of these signs, then the Club might be the perfect place to keep these problems at bay and maintain cognitive abilities.

What is the Club?

The Club is our comprehensive program created to help you or your loved ones maintain cognitive function and increase the quality of life through various activities. All of our activities occur in a warm, inviting social setting where you can meet other members and make lasting connections.

As we like to say, participating in the club gives you a chance to

  • Enlarge your life
  • Expand your mind
  • Engage your senses
  • Express your unique self, and
  • Enjoy new friendships in a lively setting

What Happens at the Club?

At the Club, our members engage with each other through various activities that help to keep the mind sharp, such as cognitive fitness, music, and art. Members also participate in various social activities such as having lunch together.

By hosting these activities in a friendly social environment, members can make friends and support each other.

The Club is facilitated by a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, and we have many professional staff on hand for additional group support.

Club Eligibility

We designed our Club to assist those with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia. We use various activities to help our members with these conditions maintain their cognitive function.
